October is a pivotal month for off-season preparation. As the weather cools, here’s what players should focus on:

  • Conditioning: Maintain or start a basic conditioning routine, including sprint work, agility drills, and core strengthening.
  • Swing Mechanics: Keep practicing your swing. Hitting off a tee is ideal during this time. It allows you to refine your technique and timing without the pressure of live pitches.
  • Mental Training: Visualize your at-bats. Go through different pitch scenarios in your mind and imagine successful outcomes. Visualization can be as important as physical practice!
